MANDOVI LOUNGE Boat – Up to 8 Pax — Britona

Private Yachts

Private Yacht Charter in Goa.

Twelve boats out of Britona, from ₹9,500 for the whole yacht — not per person.

A private charter is the one Goa experience that is genuinely yours: your group, your music, two hours on the Mandovi (an hour sailing, an hour at anchor) with nobody else on board. Boats range from six-seaters to a sixteen-seat catamaran, so the price per head drops sharply as your group grows.

We quote the boat, and every boat is bookable online with the date live on the calendar — no deposit negotiation, no calling three operators to find out who is free on Saturday.

You are booking the boat, not a seat

This is the part worth being clear about, because most listings elsewhere are not.

Every price on this page is for the entire yacht for two hours: one hour sailing and one hour at anchor. ₹11,000 for the BLUE FIN means ₹11,000 whether two of you go or all six. For a group of six that is a little over ₹1,800 each — for a private boat, which is why charters often work out close to the price of a seat on a shared dinner cruise once there are a few of you.

Each boat's capacity is in its name: up to 6, 8, 10, 12, 15 or 16 guests. Book the smallest boat that fits your group comfortably; the deck space matters more than the number.

Which boat to pick

  • Couples and small groups (up to 6): the WAVE RIDER (₹10,000) or the BLUE FIN (₹11,000) — quick, open boats with a private deck.
  • Up to 8 on a budget: the MANDOVI LOUNGE at ₹9,500 is the cheapest boat on the list — open-deck, no cabin or washroom, one hour cruising and one at anchor.
  • Families and friend groups (7–10): the RINKER 260EC, MANTA RAY, MV TARA, AQUILA or SEA RAY 330 — more shade and seating for the same two hours.
  • Celebrations (12–16): the FUNLINER, MV COCO or SUNSET 42 — room to move around, and space for a cake and a speaker.
  • Premium: the PRESTIGE 36 and SUNSET 42 are the newest and best-appointed boats on the list, and priced accordingly.

Where you sail from, and what you see

Charters leave from Britona, on the Mandovi just across from Panaji and about 30 minutes from the North Goa beaches. It is a working jetty rather than a marina — arrive a few minutes early and somebody will walk you to your boat.

A standard charter is two hours: one hour sailing and one hour at anchor. The sailing hour takes you along the Mandovi past the Panaji waterfront, the casino boats, Reis Magos fort and the Miramar sandbar, usually turning near the river mouth; at anchor the deck is yours for photos, music and the view. Skippers know where the dolphins tend to be in the morning, though no one can promise you a sighting.

Birthdays, proposals and shoots

A private boat is the easiest venue in Goa to make personal, because nobody else is on it. Groups regularly bring a cake, a speaker, decorations or a photographer.

Tell us on WhatsApp what the occasion is when you book and we will pass it to the skipper — some boats can arrange decoration or a cake locally, subject to notice. Drone and commercial shoots need clearance in advance, so ask before you plan on one.

The best time of day to charter

Mornings are calm and the light is good for photographs; this is also when dolphins are most often about. Late afternoon is the popular slot — the two hours before sunset put the golden hour on your deck, and it books out first on weekends.

October to March is the reliable season. Through the monsoon, river conditions restrict private sailings and departures can be cancelled on the day; the calendar on each boat shows what is genuinely available.

How booking works

No enquiry forms, no waiting for a callback, no price that changes when you arrive.

  • Pick your experience and date — availability is live, not a request.
  • Enter how many of you are coming. The price you see is the price you pay, in rupees.
  • Pay online by UPI or card. Some experiences let you pay part now and the rest on the day.
  • Your confirmation and booking code arrive straight away by email — show it on your phone when you arrive.
  • Need to change something? Message us on WhatsApp with your booking code.
